    best place in town

if you are looking for quality food and good choices try johns seafood. food is better prepared than other places in Murfreesboro and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. no buffet is offered which is a good thing in my opinion which usually means better quality.

    first visit and last visit

My husband wanted to celabrate his 65th birthday with family and friends. I said you name the place and I will pay for all. he said John's seafood in Murfreesboro. 6 adults and 2 children. some ordered from the menu and others buffet. He called before we went to see what all they had on the seafood buffet. He said that the lady named all kind of seafood plus other foods. Well I was totally disappointed. The whole time we were there on that so called seafood buffet was cold french fries, hand full of fried pop corn shrimp mixed with fried chicken and one piece of baked fish. No bread of any type. We kepted asking our waitress when was there going to be some seafood on the buffet. You could see it really bothered her. Her service was great. Had to be to cover up for the no show food. When after about 30 to 45 minutes she came and told us there was some fresh hot shrimp on the buffet. By then we were about ready to go. Our out of town guest asked was this the only place in the area to eat other than fast food places. I said NO we should have went to Whitley's where I knew the food was great. Whitley's is the only place that where I work here in the area my co-workers will eat at. I know better now. this was my first and last visit to john's seafood.

    So glad I found John's

There are not too many nice restaurant choices in Hertford County so that is why I am so glad I found John's. We first visited here on Valentine's night and the food was wonderful. We have been back 3 or 4 more times and I loved it every time. The food is good, the wait staff is above average and it is clean. Soooooo so thankful for John's. It is my new date night place! Thank you for having an especially frinedly set of waitresses. Most restaurants in this area really suffer from poor customer service but you excel in that area. Thank you many times around!

    Best.Food.Ever!

There is so much to choose from on this menu & I've loved everything that I've tried so far :) They have some delicious cajun fried catfish and the oysters are the best that my husband & I have had. And we've eaten our share of seafood & Johns is by far the best. They also have some appetizers that you can't find everywhere.....alligator bites & alligator sausage. And around Christmas, John makes his Seafood Bisque which tastes like nothing I've ever hadddddddddddd!! Johns better get used to me & my husband showing up every week!!

    Perfection!!!

I have been to this restaurant many many times & have never been disappointed!! The food is delicious, the drinks are tasty, and the service is among the best I've ever had. My favorites are the Prime Rib, Broiled Platter, and fresh grilled fish. The Prime Rib is probably the best steak I've ever had....there is something about the way John makes it....it's unlike any other. And they have tasty little appetizers to start you off with....like Alligator (fried or cajun fried), busted onions, and tuna bites. It just doesn't get any better than Johns Seafood!!
