History
Shipwreck Grill opened for the 2011 summer season on the Outer Banks. It will be open year round. The restaurant keeps the beach look and feel with a relaxing atmosphere and shuttered exterior.
Chef Biography
Larry Farrow is the major chef at Shipwreck Grill. He has been cooking for thirty two years. Many of his recipes have been passed down through his family - especially his grandmother. He picked up others from chefs at well respected restaurants including the Channel Bass Restaurant for which he worked. Several articles have been written and published in area periodicals about Larry’s excellent cooking skills.
Owner Biography
Dave Dawson is the owner of Shipwreck Grill. He has been the successful owner of The Cape Hatteras Motel for forty years and The Croatoan Inn on Hatteras Island for five years. Creating Shipwreck Grill is a natural extension of the motel and inn business. Dave loves Hatteras Island and he loves providing excellent service to the visitors this beautiful national seashore attracts.

Ate breakfast there 2 days in a row and had the croissants both days - yummy! and then ate lunch and tasted the Rueben - again yummy!
