History
The King family purchased the ‘Pickled Steamer Restaurant’ in 2007 and renamed the establishment Café 12.
Chef Biography
The Kings son-in-law, Canan Merillat, who was raised on Hatteras Island, works with the Island’s Parks and Recreation and manages the kitchen.
Owner Biography
John and Kathy King are the owners. They moved to Hatteras Island from Kentucky in 1986 to start a cleaning business. The Kings are very involved in High School Football.
